We are delighted to share that Waste Management have been shortlisted for the 2018 Australasian Fleet Safety Awards, within the following three categories: Sustainable Journeys, Road Safety in the Community and Company Driver Safety.
Run by road safety charity Brake, the annual awards invite safety conscious organisations from New Zealand and Australia to enter. The awards recognise the achievements of those working to help reduce the number of road incidents involving at-work drivers. They celebrate and share best practice in managing road risk.
The winners will be announced on Thursday 11 October 2018 at an awards ceremony in Auckland.
About Brake:
Brake is a road safety charity that works to prevent road death and injury, make streets and communities safer, and supports the victims of road crashes. Brake started Road Safety Week in New Zealand in 2012 as an annual event to raise awareness about road safety and promote steps that everyone can take to stop these needless deaths and injuries year-round.
Earlier this year, Waste Management partnered with Brake to launch Road Safety Week 2018, alongside Associate Minister of Transport, Hon. Julie Anne Genter, NZTA, St John, NZ Police, Auckland Transport, Road Safety Education and Plunket.
